Rex, you were the sweetest kitty. For an orange cat, you were so sweet and so calm always. You never bit or scratched anyone, you were a sweetheart. You were a good boy, even when you hated us taking you showers and cutting your nails. You even knew how to sit on command, such a smart boy.
Every morning you would wake me up by letting the sun shine into our room. Every night I closed the curtains and every morning without fail, you opened them.
I could pick out ANY sound you made anywhere. Everything about you was unique. Having two cats, I always knew which meows were yours.
The day you begged to go outside, I put your harness on and connected you to our dog's 30 ft leash so you could roam around and explore without me losing you. I had the kitchen window open and you jumped in and out as I did my chores. You were always so adventurous.
Rex, I love you and I miss you so much baby. You were so loved by everyone and I’m sorry you didn’t get to explore and adventure with us as much as you wanted to. I’m sorry you didn’t get to try out your new stroller. I’m making you a beautiful ofrenda this year. I hope you're safe, warm, and happy where you are.
Rex’s memorial is permanent, kept safe, always. Our promise.
