When your pet dies, you have a short window to make a decision you’ve probably never thought about before. FindPetCremations exists to make that decision less lonely. We collect, verify, and publish information about pet cremation providers across the United States so families can compare options without wading through marketing pages, upsells, or vague pricing.
We believe transparency beats euphemism. We publish real prices when providers list them, flag providers we can’t verify, and distinguish clearly between private, communal, and aquamation services.

How we collect and verify data
Our directory combines several sources, in roughly this order:
- Google Places for location, hours, phone numbers, and aggregated review counts.
- IAOPCC (International Association of Pet Cemeteries & Crematories) membership records, used as an accreditation signal on listings.
- Provider websites for pricing, services offered, and facility details. When pricing is on a public page, we cite it. When it isn’t, we say so.
- Gemini AI extraction to pull structured facts (service types, price ranges, hours) out of long provider pages. AI output is treated as a draft; nothing ships to a listing until it passes our validation checks.
Provider information, ratings, and third-party verifications are never for sale. Some providers pay for featured placement on our directory pages; those listings are always clearly labeled, and beyond those labeled spots, ranking is driven by data (accreditation, verified services, review volume).
Editorial standards
AI-assisted drafts, reviewed by a person
Our grief and decision-making articles start as AI-assisted drafts, then a person reviews every piece before it goes live: we check anything that touches veterinary or legal territory, cite the sources behind our claims, and prefer clear language over clinical distance. Pricing in directory listings comes from the provider’s own website or published materials; we do not invent ranges.
If you spot something wrong, tell us. We correct errors promptly and publicly.
