1.What we collect
We collect three kinds of information:
- Information you send us. When you fill out a contact or listing-claim form, we store the name, email address, subject, and message you provided, plus the IP address and browser user-agent string of the request. We use this to respond to you and to prevent abuse.
- Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we log standard web request data through our analytics provider: pages visited, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP (city/region, not street address), device type, and browser. We use anonymous search queries you run on our search bar to improve coverage.
- Cookies and similar tech. We use a small number of first-party cookies for theme preference and session state, and third-party cookies for analytics. See the cookie section below.
2.How we use your information
- To reply to messages and listing claims.
- To identify broken listings, confusing pages, and content gaps.
- To measure which grief articles and directory pages are useful, and improve the ones that aren’t.
- To detect abuse (spam submissions, scraping, etc.) and protect the site.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not run behavioral ad networks on this site.
3.Third-party services
We use a short list of vendors to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — aggregated traffic analytics, with IP anonymization enabled.
- Stripe — payment processing for any paid services (listing upgrades, etc.). If you pay us, Stripe handles your card data; we never see the card number.
- Resend — transactional email delivery for contact-form notifications and replies.
- Affiliate networks, including Impact.com and the Amazon Associates program, which set cookies when you click certain outbound product links so a commission can be attributed correctly.
4.Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links on FindPetCremations are affiliate links — when you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This doesn’t influence which providers appear in our directory or how they’re ranked. Editorial content is editorial; affiliate links are clearly labeled where required.
6.California privacy rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of the “sale” of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so this right is satisfied by default.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of the above.

7.Data retention
- Contact form submissions: retained for two years from the date of submission, then deleted. Earlier deletion is available on request.
- Analytics data:retained for 26 months in Google Analytics, then aged out per Google’s retention settings.
- Listing-claim records: retained for the life of the listing while active, plus two years after deactivation, for audit purposes.
8.Children
FindPetCremations is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we will delete it.
9.International users
The site is operated from the United Arab Emirates and served to visitors globally. By using the site, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the UAE and in the United States, where some of our vendors operate.
10.Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.
